So a couple of years ago, I wrote a blog telling you I was back. When I wrote it, I meant it! But again, life got in the way, and Craftaholique had to take a backseat. Not just the blog but all the creating and crafting I did in my spare time too. I had a lot going on in both my personal life and at work.
In November 2021, I lost my lovely mum to lung disease (COPD), and my world stopped turning for a while. I just couldn’t think straight or get my head around the activities I used to do. Mum was the first person I was really close to who has passed away. The pain of losing her was indescribable.
I’m in a much better place than I was back then – I’m still grieving, of course – I don’t think grief ever goes away entirely. But I’ve spent the last six months or so prioritising my health in many ways, and now I want to get back to doing some of the things I used to love, like being creative.
That’s why I’m breathing some new life into this little blog. I want to write about things that inspire me and make me feel happy, and I hope they’ll inspire you too! I want to infuse Craftaholique with fresh creativity (which includes new beading patterns as well as other projects I want to try!).
So here’s to a new chapter – I hope you’ll join me on my creative journey – stay tuned for upcoming posts!
Thanks for reading!
