Lately I’ve been looking for inspiration on the internet for how to make felt birds in the hope of creating a mobile for my daughter’s bedroom. There are some really beautiful projects out there! Here are some of my favourite felt bird projects, most with free tutorials, from some very creative crafters who have allowed me to share these with you.
Flora the Spring Bird was created by Wendi Gratz at Shiny Happy World. Her free pattern can be found at Sew Mama Sew!
This wonderful felt bird hanger made in pale pink and blue felt would look perfect in any nursery! Melissa from ‘Pregnancy Baby Child’ has shared her pattern and tutorial for this over at her blog.
These vibrant felt bird hair clips were made by Chelsey at Buggy and Buddy and her free tutorial is on her blog. Kids will love these, a really great gift idea and so versatile too as these could be made to a larger scale if you fancied doing something else with them.
I love the quirkiness of this felt bird bean-bag. This was made by Holly Dawes over at Holloughby blog. Could be used for book ends and door stops too!
Lastly, this is a link to a beautiful felt bird mobile that caught my eye made by Cristina at Little Wilds blog. This is just what I want to make for my daughter’s bedroom. There isn’t a tutorial for this one but I think it’s fab and I’m really inspired by it. Cristina has this one for sale in her shop.
I hope you’ve been as inspired by these felt bird projects as I have. Do head over and take a look at the sites of these talented crafters and thanks again to them for letting me share with you!
