Are you up for a seed bead project challenge? Join in with this fabulous Bead Along project which starts on 1st April 2013. All you need to take part is the book “Metallic Seed Bead Splendor” by Nancy Zellers, some beading needles and a large stash of seed beads!
The Bead Along is hosted by Kelly Dale from Off The Beaded Path in Forest City, North Carolina. This is an extract from Kelly’s blog about the Bead Along:
“What is a bead along? A Bead Along is simply a group of beaders from all over the world working on a designated project all at one time. Everyone works on a project on their own time, with their own color choices for a 2 week period of time.
Why participate in a Bead Along? The whole reason for doing a bead along is to learn new techniques. Beading isn’t any fun if you never learn anything new! Doing a bead along pushes you to try new techniques or projects that you might, at any other time, not choose to do.
How does a bead along work? First of all, buy the book “Metallic Seed Bead Splendor” by Nancy Zellers. At the beginning of the Bead Along you will be given a list of projects to complete and the dates that each is to be completed.”
Once you’ve completed a project, you can email Kelly the pictures and she will put them on her blog. Head over to Kelly’s blog for full details and to let her know that you’ll be participating!
I’ve never joined in a Bead Along before so I’m really excited about this. I have just ordered the book from Ebay at £12.94 plus postage. It’s on Amazon at a similar price. I’ll be posting my pictures on this blog when I’ve finished the projects!
