I’ve been enjoying playing with my bead stash lately and so today, I’m happy to bring you this easy knotted ribbon bracelet project! It’s very easy to make and you’ll only need a few materials, as follows:
- Selection of beads, large and small.
- Ribbon
- Wire
- Clasp
- Beading needle (size 10 or 12)
- Nymo beading thread
Step 1
Thread your larger beads onto a fairly long piece of ribbon (you can trim in a minute), making a knot inbetween each one. This part can be a little tricky in terms of getting the ribbon to go through the hole in the beads! A little perserverance may be needed! Once knotted, measure your wrist and then cut the ribbon ends to the desired size, leaving room for a clasp. This will guide the length of the bracelet. I’ve used coral ceramic beads for this bracelet – adorable!
Step 2
Create a couple of strands of smaller beads using your beading needle and thread. I used czech glass seed beads for these as they are non-uniform which I think adds a little interest to this particular project. I threaded each strand through the coral larger beads alternately to keep them together. I made them roughly the same length as the ribbon with the beads on.
Step 3
Gather your ribbon and bead strands together and wire wrap the ends, attaching each end of the clasp as you do so.
That’s it! An easy knotted ribbon and beads bracelet!
