I’ve been meaning to write up this post for a while, because this necklace is one of my favourite ones to wear at the moment. I made this simply by using a rhinestone button that I’d been saving for something special and I attached it to a long gold chain.
The rhinestone button had a shank on the back, so I threaded my chain through it and then to make sure the button would stay upright, I glued the chain to the button shank at the back with E6000® jewellery glue.
The result? A beautiful sparkly pendant necklace! I wanted to wear this as a rope or lariat style necklace that would sit in front of my midriff, so I main the chain around 34 inches long.
This is such an easy make for anyone to do – all you need are some beautiful buttons! I can’t remember where I bought my buttons from as it was such a long time ago now, but check out these similar rhinestone buttons below that I found on Amazon.
Why not have a go at making one of these yourself? If you like this DIY necklace, please take a minute to share this post online!
